Ultra Miami Packing List: Clear Bags, Rules and What to Bring

Crowd dancing in front of the stage at a music festival

Ultra Music Festival 2027 is March 26–28 at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami. It's a city festival: no camping, no re-entry, and a strict clear-bag rule at the gate. We read Ultra's official Festival Info, Prohibited & Acceptable Items and Clear Bag Policy pages on October 19, 2026. Rules change, so if this page and theirs ever disagree, go with theirs.

The short version

  • Hours on Ultra's page: Friday 4 p.m. to midnight, Saturday noon to midnight, Sunday noon to 10 p.m.
  • General admission is 18+. VIP and alcohol are 21+. Everyone needs a valid photo ID every day, and a photo of your ID doesn't count.
  • Bags: clear plastic, vinyl or PVC up to 13" × 17", a one-gallon clear zip-top bag, a fanny pack, or a hand-size clutch. Hydration packs are allowed only if they aren't backpacks, and they have to be empty.
  • No re-entry, no camping, no staying overnight. Whatever you bring in is with you all day.
  • Expect a TSA-style pat-down and a bag search.

The bag

The easy answer is a clear tote inside the 13" × 17" limit, like the BAGAIL clear stadium tote (12" × 6" × 12"), or a fanny pack and nothing else. Ultra's page says hydration packs are fine only if they're not backpacks, and it shows an example image. If you're not sure about yours, Ultra has a form on the clear-bag page where you can send a photo for advice. Security at the gate still makes the final call.

What you can bring

  • Phone, sunglasses, hat, earplugs. We wear Loop earplugs for long days near the big rigs.
  • Sunscreen, as long as it's not an aerosol and it's sealed on entry. A new tube of sport lotion works.
  • Glowing jewelry or costumes, powdered make-up, and wearable cosmetic glitter (loose glitter is out).
  • Vapes, if the juice and cartridges are sealed. Sealed cigarette packs and sealed feminine products.
  • Prescription meds in the original container with your name matching your ID.

What stays home

A few items people get caught with: umbrellas, chairs and blankets, any outside food or drink, bottles and canteens, aerosols, totems and poles, glow sticks, misters and spray bottles, opened over-the-counter meds or eye drops, chain wallets, and professional cameras. Read Ultra's full list before you pack. It's longer than this.

Keep your phone

A packed downtown crowd is where phones go missing. Keep yours on a crossbody lanyard or a retractable tether, and keep your card and ID apart from it in a slim belt under your shirt. Turn on Find My or Find My Device before you leave the hotel. More picks are in our phone security collection.

Getting there and staying over

Ultra's page says the Metromover stops right outside Bayfront Park, and the park is about a mile on foot from MiamiCentral station. The address is 301 N. Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132. There's no camping, so this is a hotel weekend, not an RV one. If you want an RV festival this spring, start with our guide to renting an RV for a music festival.
