Electric Forest (Rothbury, MI) and Bass Canyon (The Gorge, WA) are both multi-day camping weekends with late production, packed camp rows, and gear that has to work when you are tired. They are not the same climate. Forest humidity, mud, and dark treelines punish different systems than Gorge dust, amphitheatre sun, and sharp overnight cold.

Rules and RVs at a glance
Electric Forest bans bikes, external gas generators, grills and open flame. Small Coleman-style stoves on 1 lb propane are the exception, and solar generators are OK. Bass Canyon allows generators at your campsite outside the 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. quiet hours, bans open campfires, and keeps bikes out of the amphitheatre. Both sell RV camping, and both weekends are easier in a rig: a dry bed for Rothbury rain, AC and a sealed room for Gorge dust.
