Why we pick this

We wanted a cooler that takes trunk-and-wagon abuse without rotomolded money. The BMX latches stay shut on a bumpy lot road, and the drain plug means you're not tipping a full cooler to dump meltwater at camp.

Keep it in the shade with a towel or blanket on top, and drain the meltwater every morning, not just when it's sloshing.

Car camps at any fest. Big enough for a long weekend of food and drinks for two or three people. It's a two-person carry when full. If your walk-in is long, look at the wheeled Coleman Xtreme instead.
