Sziget returns to Budapest's Óbuda Island from 10 to 14 August 2027.
No stoves, no grills
Sziget bans gas cookers, gas cylinders and grills, and its camping rules also ban your own electric stove, kettle, fridge and air conditioner. So plan around food stalls and no-cook snacks: Festival Food & Snacks.
A small, tidy camp
Each camper can take up to 6 m², and tents go only in marked areas with fire lanes kept clear. A compact tent is the move: tents and our tent guide. For sleeping past sunrise, see blackout tents.
Heat
It is August in Budapest. Bring a reusable bottle, electrolytes and a fan: Hydration & Cooling. Note the venue only lets you bring one PET bottle of up to 2.5 litres of water or soft drink.
Bikes and glass
Bikes, scooters, glass and umbrellas are on the banned list for the venue. Bikes can be left at the designated storage area.
Campervans
Caravans may only park in the designated caravan camping area with permission, and the towing vehicle has to leave. The no-gas rules still apply. If you rent a van, Roadsurfer is one EU option; check the caravan camping ticket first.
Check before you pack
Rules change from year to year, and we only list what the festival has published. Read the official page before you buy anything: szigetfestival.com.
